"The Astronaut Farmer" portrays a man named Charles Farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) whose biggest dream is to go to the space. However, in order to save his farm he gives up on his dream and tends to carry a normal farmer-like life. His family was poor and could never afford him to go to space. However, story begins with his decision to build a space ship, a replica of Mercury-Atlas with his own hands and from his own materials. The government of the United States hears that and decides to stop him by all means. Will he succeed in making his dreams true?
