An inventor by the name of Phileas Fogg (Steve Coogan) makes a large bet that he can travel completely around the world in 80 days. Not too difficult in todays modern world, you say? Here's the catch: The setting is 1872! Fogg and his servant Passepartout (Jackie Chan) embark on a journey which pits them against the clock and a detective who believes Fogg robbed a bank before leaving town. They travel through Paris, Turkey, India, China and the Americas, using a large variety of transportation methods along the way: Boat, trains, balloons, elephants, etc. Watch out for the ending – no one ever sees it coming!
