Back Fence Redo

A few years ago, Dave and Ryder replaced the back fence boards (the posts were still good).

Months later, Dave decided to do a water seal, but the color was way too red! He also used a paint brush instead of sprayer, which made for a VERY uneven finish with overlapping strokes that made the red even worse.

After researching what color we could use to tone down the red, etc. I finally decided to just flip the damn boards over! There is a barn and horse field behind us, so we do not have a shared fence. I asked Dave and he said it was fine, but he wasn't doing it...lol.

The fence was done with screws and fortunately, he and Ryder had a template for pre-drilling, so when I flipped the boards, almost all of the holes lined right up. Dave even felt sorry for me and helped with part of it.

It needs a good pressure wash, but it looks sooooo much better! We will use water seal again, but this time we will use CLEAR! I am so happy the red fence is no longer the first thing that catches the eye in our back yard!
