Barn Owl - August 2026

The house behind us has a barn with horses. She has owl boxes, and we hear the barn owls making their screeching sounds all the time. For several nights, we've heard loud rustling from our big palm tree. When getting up to look out the bedroom window, I heard a very familiar screech coming from the palm tree! The next day, we had the backyard light on, and I was able to spot the owl circling in the yard and landing in a tree behind the fence. Since, I have been able to seen up to 3 owls at once flying overheard. We believe it might be a mom and her babies!

We have so many birds in our back yard, we've gathered photos to start a backyard-bird archive!
